We're a referral service
LancasterSCLandClearing.com connects landowners in Lancaster County, South Carolina, with independent contractors. We don't clear, grade, mulch, burn, or grind anything ourselves, and we don't employ the contractors we refer.
How we're paid
Contractors pay us to receive referrals or to advertise on this site. Landowners never pay us anything.
One contractor per request
Each request goes to one contractor who serves your area, not to a list of companies.
Contractors are responsible for their work
The contractor you hire is responsible for their licensing, insurance, permits, pricing, workmanship, and warranties. Any agreement is between you and the contractor. South Carolina's Contractor's Licensing Board lists land clearing and grubbing as work that needs no specific license, but grading can require a general contractor license once the regulated work costs more than $10,000. If grading is part of your job, you can look up a contractor's South Carolina license on LLR's site, and on any job you can ask for a certificate of insurance before work starts. Who clears land explains both.

Brands and sources
No equipment manufacturer sponsors or endorses this site. Rules, fees, and cost figures on this site come from the state, county, town, and federal pages they link to and from the national cost guides they name, as of the date stated on each page. They are general information, not legal advice. The office named on each page has the final word on its rules, and a contractor's written quote is the price that applies to your land.
